There are many overlapping creative, digital and tech groups in Liverpool. DoES Liverpool is home to the tech startups and makers and is a good starting point to get to know people and find out what’s going on.
If you’re looking for help, want to discuss your latest project or startup, or you’re looking to find out what’s going on then join the mailing list or come along to an upcoming event that takes your fancy.
About the Space:
DoES Liverpool is a co-working and workshop/studio space in the heart of Liverpool’s city centre.
Co-working:
Co-working basically means a shared office space – somewhere to come and work, but where there are other people around so you’re not just sat on your own. You can either take a desk full-time, or if you’d rather call in every now and then you can just get a hot-desk when you need it.
It’s a bit more than just shared office space though – people tend to get to know each other, over time, and we encourage them to use the space to hold events and to get involved in helping to run the space. If you take a look at the events calendar you can find out what’s going on already.
Workshop:
Given our current layout and premises this isn’t full of heavy machinery (so you needn’t worry about it being too noisy!) but we do have a dedicated room used for small-scale making. This is at its busiest during the Maker Night events, but a few of the people working out of DoES use it regularly too.
We’ve have the fundamentals of a digital fabrication lab: two laser cutter; several 3D printers and a small CNC mill. We also have a selection of electronics equipment such as soldering irons, and other more traditional tools. All of these are available to anyone using the space for no extra cost.
